My Bio
I'm a mostly self-taught artist that works in whatever media is available. I scrounge metal, wood and multiples of objects , as well as work in clay, thread. I repurpose furniture, harvest fallen timber and love to use artists materials in unexpected ways. A lot of my art is done in a shadowbox style or as part of my home's eclectic style.Art is my purpose for breathing. Born in N.Y.C., raised in a European style household in Las Vegas, Nev. by a musician and former entertainer, art and music was deemed as important as math and english. Presently married, living on 20 acres in the woods, growing what we eat and struggling to become a working farm. If something- anything- catches my eye- some part of it or it's shape, becomes a part of a future design project.

The trouble with someone like me (computer challenged) and a site like da (c'mon-it's on a computer!)is that by the time I've fumbled through reading messages, looking at fellow deviants submissions and ..maybe submitted something myself...is that the day is well under way and I'm still in my pj's. My mind gets so stressed out messing with this techno-beast, that I need muscle straining, sweat inducing labor to clear my head! Not difficult if you live on a farm...but that said- there's always so much to do (must do) from morn' til dark, that I only get the last remaining moments of the day to work in my studio. I've tried the 'not sleeping'

Finally finished all of the branch shelves, and after 2 days of cure time...dry enough to handle. Desk top is secured to the legs....not sure if they'll remain the legs, but good enough for now. ( I knew I should have pulled over yesterday and grabbed that old table!!! darn that rain!) I'm logging off, finishing my daily chores, and backing my car up to the shop. Tools, hardware, level and completed items are gathered and waiting....garden work will have to wait. Hope it all lives up to my anticipation and vision. Still haven't found or made a light fixture but maybe after I see it all together I'll know what it needs. I'm just happy that

Thats how I feel. As if I was walking along, doing what I have to do, taking care of business- when I stop...unable to take another step, not sure of the direction my next step should be in.  My mind is a blank, my heart heavy and my body unable to move without them. What will compel me to move forward? Will I have to be pushed? Dragged? Lifted and carried? Or will I stay where I am, moss beginning to grow on my surface. The underside slowly rotting and decomposing where I stand. Maybe someone will come by and kick me, rolling me forward inches, only to stop again, the process continuing on. Maybe debris will drift and fall to rest on top

Boy, you're interests are similar to a lot of mine! I love to scrounge and turn it into something else. Love power tools. And music, 24/7! And I don't watch t.v., we have it, but I don't use it. Just the family. See you around!
Thanks very much for the favorite! :)
